Intellect,attitude towards life etc..

Intellect is something that is very precious and no need to say people with intellect really gets my attention and so is the overall attitude towards life in general.

But how often you really come across such people ..Very rare isn't it..

So lets just talk about attitude towards life in general for a moment..When I was learning driving someone asked me why I need a car when there are so many public vehicles in the city..and this made me realize how we see things in life..For many people specially Indians life in attitude towards life is very shallow..For us we dont want to cross that leap or not even think of it..For that matter anything ..We dont want to get into a lifestyle..Interestingly i met this person who happens to be a big shot in a MNC in bangalore..And I asked how does he commute..He said company vehicle..And when I asked why he said why u need a vehicle when your company is providing you with a free one..So this brings me to question is the vehicle only to commute to office..In life there can be so many instances when you need a vehicle..for that matter when your wife is pregnant would you allow her to get pushed and shift by crowded public vehicle..Interestingly another person told me he travels by mumbai metro and thats how so many million people travel everyday..another one told me car is just a luxury..

Its just that for us we dont want to cross that midiocre life and we are so comfortable in it..This is what I call an attitude towards life in general..That too just for a car !!

Many people even earning too much salary will max go to Coorg or Kerala for a honeymoon or for that matter their travel plans limits to domestic ..And I wonder is it too difficult to see the world that exists around us and go ahead and experience a different culture..Why is it that we always limit ourself to experience something out of our comfort zone..

Interesting how much we can actually get away with all of these..And if someone likes to appreciate the fact that we should move out of our comfort zone people immediately start to stereotype us as  snobbish or show off or luxury etc..But now I attribute the same to shallow thinking..

What about intellect..Lets think for a moment..I think the general knowledge about most of the things around us is so overwhelming isn't it..And if someone actually thinks and cares for it there is absolutely an intellect that is behind it..I guess what I am trying to say is trying to know about the expiry date of a product or a product that may be very niche to Indian market, something like a new product feature ..how interesting it is to be around such people who cares for all of these..But how many times we have come across  such people..I guess not many..

Many at times I realize we as Indians just dont care about lot of stuffs happening around us..not to mention except cricket ..I mean to say about life in general what we eat, what we dress ,where things are coming, what brands are all about..

Nonetheless leaving you all with that thought...

Brown people hypocrisy ,sarcasm

Alrite so this post is about brown people and their hypocrisy, non understanding of sarcasm etc...How many times you might have come across to a brown person whom you have to actually tell on face that "you dont want him,and that you hate him"...Sarcasm or indirect approach never works for us isn't it..True!!

Brwon people almost all time never understand sarcasm ..You have to tell them on face ..You have to chase him/her away in order to avoid him/her..For brown people idea of sarcasm or being polite to us means may be "one more chance" and not necessarily "No"..So they will chase you until the point you actually have to chase them with a strong verbal note..

And trust me this is not just with the uneducated ones..For educated ones too..Working in various corporates left me with mixed feelings about Indians..They fall in love quickly and get possessive till the extent that they will get inside your house and cook for you a "Curry"..Lol..The point is nagging behaviour which can drive you nuts about Indians..

I tell you one more thing..When you go to a bargain shop and not buying things that they want to sell you..Guess what happens.? They literally scold you and abuse you until you leave the shop..Means "get the fu** out of my shop if you dont want to buy this"... awkward!!

Wait as if that isn't enough when a girl and a guy broke off after a relationship disaster guess what happens?? The guy/girl abuses each other till the extent each of their morals go to a shit pot..They will go and shit about each other amongst their close network of friends..Worst case scenario suppose it is a one sided break off, suppose if the girl dumps the guy then the guy may even go to the extent of threatening you with the past intimacy disclosure to your parents..Disgusting but true..!

I guess what I am trying to say is browns cant leave a relationship with class thats the problem. That each person has their own self respect and that we should not break our moral just because the relationship did not work is never understood by brown guys..That just because relationship did not work out we are not suppose to disrespect each other  is not understood by brown guys!! Mutual break off never happens within Browns..I have seen white guys breaking off with each other and saying good bye just amazes me ..Happens so I asked one of my white friend what did he say while leaving you..She said " You know what sweetheart this relationship is not working and its the high time we should see other people..I really hope you meet the person you are looking for..Here is the rose ..and you are awesome..Good luck!! " Imagine if this holds true about brown guys..Never..!!

Growing up I have seen so many brown man abusing their woman and literally putting acid on their face .Beating wife for dowry and what not ..

Have you also experienced the same..Please do leave a feedback..Em I highly appreciate!!

My inclination towards western civilization

Very often people have stereotyped me as a being more western or Non-Desi (Non-Indian)..This post is not to defend or rebel against what perception is but about why I have a sincere inclination towards western civilization and more specifically towards western people.

So I always had this obsession of going in depth of things that I am doing..For that matter it can be anything from the the food I eat or the products I am using or a person I am following or education that I am pursuing.. In other words I have to have a deffinite meaning of why I am doing the thing..This is a problem for many Indian people..The reason is we have an affiliation for shallow knowledge..We dont want to know things in depth or in other words we just eat or pursue or consume things just for the sake of it. Probably this has to do a lot about quality..Because most of the time we just dont care about it..

But the same is not true about western people (I mean most of them)..They believe in thorough understanding of why exactly they use a product/services, they know exactly what they like and why they should use the product or services.Their depth of knowledge for these things just amazes me a lot. Most importantly for each and everything they have to have a meaning of why they want to do it..

Similarly not to mention about education or degrees..Its just goes beyond my imagination how deeply and obsessively western people pursue education..For them its not just a degree or certificate to produce or be boast of in front of society..For them they believe in the particular domain and thats why they pursue that course..For eg: If a western person chose to be a engineer, he knows exactly why and how much he loves to be an engineer (what value addition he can bring) unlike an Indian where our career is mostly decided by our parents. No wonder why so many successful companies are built by westerners. Education as they see is a part of their passion which they obsessively compulsively pursue..And you know what their level of understanding something new is we just can not even imagine..Is it not enough reason by now why I appreciate western civilization..

I will give you guys more reasons . Sharing of what knowledge you have with the world is another amazing trait that I have seen among westerners. Most of the time the blogs or the videos uploaded in youtube (How to of anything ) or the links shared in Twitter is by the westerners which they do it very selflessly..And you know to be surrounded by these people is very uplifting experience ..The newsletters I have subscribed from various industry people I know virtually is mostly westerners..And its just amazes me beyond my level of understanding that why they do all these things so selflessly so that we the people of other part of the world can have access to what they are experiencing..Isn't it reason enough to admire them..!!

And you know what guys there are some fundamental difference between them and us.Its would be very controversial if I get into the depth of these differences.however respecting everyone's sentiment I just want to say that my respect for western people's contribution to mankind, technology, science and everything is just very humbling..

And at the local level if we see India would not have been India if British would have not invaded it.(I know that might sound little offensive)..But I tell you why..Indian Railways is still the largest monopoly and no need to mention it was the outcome of British who introduced us..

The ugly societal phenomenon like Sati Pratha (Where a widow is burnt alive with her dead husband),or the child marriage, or many such things have been actually been removed partially by British..And Raja Rammohan Roy was called a slave of westerners because he supported these reforms in our society. Imagine a society full of all these ..Would India progressed this much as how it is now??

Most of the time we tend to forget how incredibly our life has changed after the technological revolution in the west. No need to mention about the amazing innovation that is happening in the west in all these areas..That itself is so overwhelming ..

Love love people who has brought changes to society and more importantly selflessly..These are some of my thoughts on why my inclination goes towards them.. I would also love to hear from you what do you think..Take care..!!

What happened when I came back from foreign land

So I thought of sharing my honest views on what happens when  I (Indian) came back from foreign land. This post may feel little offensive to few chauvinist and trust me I dont intend to be judgemental about anything. Nonetheless we can just begin, shall we..

Well living a life as a single person was never so difficult ..But it seems like its never ending struggle here. I mean I really wish that there was a single store like a hypermarket which caters to all my grossery needs so I can pile everything on a monthly basis and get back home..Same is not true in India..Everything seems to be so fragmented. So called hypermarket are just namesake where you get half stuff and for other half you need to be dependent on some other place..This brings another struggle isn't it..And moreover the whole city will be so bizarrely structured that going to one place from another is just like another hurdle..And not to mention about the traffic which is uncontrollable..Its like the whole city is not well planned unlike a foregn land where the market is linked to a metro and its like a heaven for someone who would like to do their market activities..I am literally bored of this unstructured city planning where shops are placed randomly and not to mention the hell lot of small vendors which seems to be flooding the street but without any use.

More importantly the concept of freshness of fruits, vegetables, dairy(expiry date),jam, jelly meat etc is so redundant here. Its like as if people will eat each and everything they just get handy.Markets dont care about freshness of the vegetables and consumers dont bother about it..So its easy for them to sell .Not to mention about organic fruits and vegetable..Very few places you will get these niche stuffs..The whole awareness is not there,,Where in people in foreign land are so well aware about these revolution whether organic or go green ,farmers market etc. Indians seems to be lacking knowledge about foods that they consume and neither they bother to know about it..For us its like just living a shit life and not to care if a life should even have any standard..I wonder why is it so..

And going to restaurants or caffe is just another pain..Predominantly because the quality of the food sold ..If you are ordering a suppose orange muffin ,you will never find any traces of orange their ..That will be like some cheap orange color sprinkled all over the mufffin..All again boils down to cost cutting and thereby health hazzard etc etc..

I almost stopped eating in so called restaurant unless it is six sigma certified five star hotel..You know its not to brag but the restaurant employs workers whom they can find as cheap as possible .More importantly people working in these restaurant chains are so little to no awareness of what hygiene is all about.I wont blame them ..Because people who are never exposed to a hygenic environment and brought up in remote places of India, Certainly cant expect much of these is it..Forget about them when I dont see the most elite IT workers having any hygiene standard(specially in ladies toilet in large corporate) what I can expect from a ignorant person brought up in small town with no amenities..

Nonetheless its disturbing for me to see restaurant workers digging their hand in food that they prepare, the amount of sweat produced due to extreme heat, those long finger nails (I wonder if those ever be cleaned in a salon),and much more..

Life is difficult here back in India..The environment is built in a way which doesn't support common man..It always feels like 24 hours is less..Because everything seems to take lot longer time than required due to uncontrollable external factors whether traffic, long turnaround, poor infrastructure,or fragmented everything..This makes a common man's life a mere struggle everyday..And more importantly for single woman..

Every day you need to be cautious about too many things which ideally can take away lot of your energy really..

I am just summing it up by just saying that I think I have had enough...I might have to take the next step ..Do share your opinions if you also face the same like me..Take care!

Few thoughts on Indian Skincare VS. French Skincare Brands

Its been a long long time since I posted something new. Kind of drifted away by life a bit..Nonetheless trying to be back on track.

So just wanted to write few things that I have experienced during my oblivion..First and foremost a big shoutout to French Pharmacy and its amazing products.

Things started to change when I came across this  amazing youtube blogger named Lisa Elridge around 6-7 years back..No introduction required Lisa is a big deal in make up and stuff ..I bought few products recommended by her which happens to be a French dermatologist recommended products. And I never looked back..I am wondering why it took so much time for me to discover something like this before..And here is what I now realize..

We as Indians  use products just for the sake of it..For example : a soap : No matter if its harsh,or non-cutaneous,or lipid replacing or whatever the purpose of soap is to do a ritual like bathing and its just an object for that..Similarly there are too many things which we do just for the sake of it ,I guess what I am trying to say is we dont use products based on exactly for what we are using it. Hence these skincare, make up etc are just a very side stuffs which lies in a corner.

But the same is not the same with French Derma Brands..I was facing a hell lot of issues with my skin..After visiting tons of Dermatologist who happen to prescribe Indian made products which did little to none for my skin. It amazed me now after using French skincare brands how radically it is changing the way my skin feels.
I mean I almost stopped reading the components of any skincare products because I know that this is not what the product actually consists of..Our Indian brands will have picture of exotic fruits or whatever in the label of the product but in reality none of it actually exist or serves the purpose of the product. Its amazing how French pharma products actually stands upto what it claims. If a product says its going to soothe your skin,It actually does it..If a product says its going to restore lipid of your body skin, It actually does so..And I am so enthusiastically reading all the components the product consist of simply because I am now curious what the product consist of which is so amazing about it..

This brings me to the next thing about ethics in business and more specifically the R&D behind Indian skincare brands. I am wondering why its so superficial to most of these brands which serves just no purpose for our skin. Why too many strong chemicals are used which may be way too dangerous for our body..And most importantly why such red herring images of fruits and milk and all these exotic stuffs are displayed on the product packaging which in reality doesnt even exist in the product components..

The depth of skincare in French brand just amazes me a lot. No need to say 9 out of 10 French woman look incredibly beautiful. And it took me  a while to understand why . When the society itself dedicates itself to things that matter to them this is what the result is..And I must mention how French people take skincare so seriously.

Growing up when my mother was facing too many problem with eczema I remember how many dermatologist we went to which could not do anything but prescribe her with strong medication which invariably did massive harm to her body..What is it about us ? what is it about Indians ? why we are unable to do anything more significant no matter in whatever domain ? Why everything seems to be always so superficial?

Indian women and their long hair!!

It all started with an article in a news paper about Indian women and their long hair.Yes !!  The article actually sparked few thoughts in my mind..

India is the land of goddess and gods and with ancient traditions. I love those monuments of goddess in the Indian temples with very long locks. Every Indian women is proud to have their beautiful lustrous long hair touching their waist until our previous generation ie.Our Mother..Yes!! The story indeed begins here..Do we see those Indian ladies with long hair anymore?? The answer is "no".However this platform is not the debate of why Indian women should or should not have long hair..But more precisely about some transitional cultural values of Indian society.

This gets interesting here though. while the article says the statistics says that more and more western women prefer to have long hair and due to which the hair wig industry is booming in west. And the hair that is supplied to these countries are actually from India ..Well with Indian women playing diverse roles in their life whether a working women,a mother or a wife in the midst of everything the time to take care of their long hair is minimizing. Short hair means short maintenance. Men being the financial provider in early Indian society and women being at home gave the ancient Indian women enough time to take care of their lovely long hair..But with society changing women mostly contributes equally to the family and being a provider she has many more rolesto play in her life. In west however the trend is shockingly different. Most of the western women are prefering long hair and they are going for hair implants etc to get the look..

This is a very interesting fact for me.India in past 10 years and India in next 10 years I  can see the transition and these transition are actually not miniscale instead its radical..Indian women and their long hair is just one of the transition I would say!! Leaving you all with that thought..!!

Paris I will come back..

Memories are the only treasure ..And yeah I love the fact that at least few such treasures I do have in my life..One of them is my trip to Paris..Now this just didn’t happen like as if I went to honeymoon or something but it has so happened that while my posting in Denmark for this Danish Bank I happened to visit Paris..Something  magical and magnificent  about Paris that always  excited me..The road the scenery the architecture, the culture and most importantly the people name anything and Paris is proud of everything..In just one word it’s a beautiful city..And when I went there I just fell in love with the city..

Now as a not so rich girl who went just as like a boho girl I stayed in a youth Hostel..The beautiful Youth hostel  which also provided me with a French breakfast costed somewhere around 20 Euros..I loved It..!!..My day started of with the visit to this beautiful Notre dam..Now I know most of you all know the history etc of Notre Damm so I don’t have any intention to bore you all with the history..Now the intention of this post is not to give description about Paris as a architecture or history anything as such..But my experience in the city.the people that I interacted, the comfort that I found is the main catch.Alrite now on my way towards Notre Damm I realized that my card was not working for some odd reason or may be I was not able to operate that French language ATM machine..I saw a girl walking by I asked her if she could help me out..She tried but it didn’t work out too..She felt bad and she asked me how much do I need to go anywhere that I want to..I said that I need just one Euro 20 schillings for the Metro..She gave me 5 Euros and said ” Welcome to Paris”!!..I was overwhelmed by this stranger girl who unconditionally helped me out with money..But than that’s what I call welcoming in Parisian way..Where on earth you will find such kind of unconditional people who is gona help a tourist just like that..It just reminded me of Indian tourism scene how we treat them..starting from the autowalas to hotelwalas how we treat the foreigners everyone is aware of..I visited Notre Damm..And I met this lady out there whose children’s were playing violin to gather money to go to Disneyland..I loved the fact that people out there just don’t beg in front of others they will perform and they will earn that money..That’s so nice..

I was admiring Eiffel tower in the middle of the night and the beautiful river Sienne and those romantic couples holding hands..The city was awake even at 3 a.m in the night may be because it was a weekend I am not sure.."Please buy one rose" somebody told..I  saw this street guy selling red roses..Perhaps love has one universal way of expressing whether in front of Tajmahal or in front of Eiffel tower one thing that is common is the rose..I bought one..I walked back to the hostel..Metro was closed by 1 a.m  and it was already 3 a.m and I decided to see the Eiffel once again in the daylight..I forgot the key of the room and someone at 3.30 a.m opened the door of my room..and I had no words to thank this girl who happened to sleep in the top bunker..

Paris is glamourous..Its street eight out of ten girls will be extremely beautiful..And so with the guys..They are extremely handsome and well dressed..I met this French guy in the flight and next day he showed me Paris in his scooter..And I met his grand mom when he took me to his house..I loved the hospitality..They are nice and wise people, unconditionally lovable..It was already 2 days that I passed in Paris and I was overwhelmed by the lifestyle that people has there..I was so thrilled to see the restaurants and beautiful streets without any honking noise..

I went to few more places after that and there is the time for this boho girl to return back..But I will come back Paris I promise because I didnt have enough of you and lots of love till than..
